Canada’s 150 Anniversary of Confederation
Victoria and Albert Museum, London
This gala spectacular will take place at the historic and beautiful Victoria and Albert Museum in their largest and most prestigious space, the Raphael Gallery. This room houses some of the most important surviving examples of renaissance art in the world lending a striking backdrop to our special evening.
The event will be endorsed by the High Commission of Canada and will include the highest profile dignitaries, individuals and corporations as guests. We are working to secure the highest level of support from the Government of Canada.
This event will mark the Canada’s 150th anniversary of our Confederation as well as the Maple Leaf Trust’s expanded fundraising campaign to secure additional funds to increase support to the CCSF so that more students can benefit from scholarship support as well as maintain support for our veterans living in the UK.
The Maple Leaf Ball 2017 will launch our Scholarship Campaign. Our founding objectives are arguably more urgent than ever before. Tuition costs are currently rising faster than ever and pose a constant threat to our modest endowment. London is the cultural capital of the world, but it has some of the highest living expenses. Quite simply, excellence and access require investment.
The Maple Leaf Ball 2017 will help us launch a bold new strategy to meet these challenges that draws on our original vision yet re-imagines our purpose. We will provide more access to an inspirational learning experience for the widest possible range of students - a fitting way to celebrate our 150th Anniversary of Canada’s Confederation and to unite us in our support.
