about us

The Maple Leaf Trust is the premier charity of the Canadian community in the UK, raising funds to support the work of its two charitable causes: the Veterans’ Support Committee and the Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund. The Maple Leaf Trust and its affiliates have been able to help Canadians who now call the United Kingdom home maintain a connection with their homeland for over 60 years

MAPLE LEAF BALL 2019

Maple leaf Ball done-02.jpg

This gala spectacular will take place at the historic and beautiful Natural History Museum in their largest and most prestigious space, the  magnificent Hinze Hall. This room houses a huge blue whale skeleton at its centre lending a striking backdrop to our special evening.

The event will be endorsed by the High Commission of Canada and will include individuals and corporations as guests.  We are working to secure the highest level of support from the Government of Canada.

This event will mark the 70th anniversary of the Veterans Support Committee (VSC) as well as the Maple Leaf Trust’s expanded fundraising campaign to secure additional funds to increase support to the Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund (CCSF) so that more students can benefit from scholarship support as well as maintain support for our veterans living in the UK.

Our founding objectives are arguably more urgent than ever before. Tuition costs are currently rising faster than ever and pose a constant threat to our modest endowment.  London is the cultural capital of the world, but it has some of the highest living expenses. Quite simply, excellence and access require investment.

We hope that you will be able to come. Currently Corporate Table Sponsorships are available to purchase – Please click here for the application form. More information will be posted here soon.
